It's pretty much a longer version of using the "auto-win" hack.Īs far as I know, you won't get community banned for using it or owning up to using it, however it does make various achievements easy to obtain, least of all the standard "Complete X on Y difficulty" ones but there are at least two achievements that I can think of that require you to kill 10+ guards with pagers on a stealth map, and then leave the mission without the alarm going off, which is obviously a cakewalk and easy to cheat with Silent Assassin and thus.is a cheat?Īs far as I'm concerned, so long as you don't ruin other peoples fun or change how they play the game, it's perfectly okay to use. Pagers are annoying yes but they're a necessary evil - if you can clear the map of all guards, where does the challenge go? What's the point? If you use Silent Assassin you're basically rendering the game broken and destroying all balance in stealth.
However for the most part, using it is cheating, since most stealth missions are only challenging BECAUSE of the pagers and guards, with the exception of maybe Golden Grin because of the 49 cameras placed all over. Silent Assassin will not trigger the cheater tag.
